Roots & Wings CSA- in Dobbs Ferry

This year we have partnered up with Roots & Wings CSA in Dobbs Ferry to bring you fresh organic produce down into Westchester.
Roots & Wings looks for ways to bring awareness to our relationships with each other and the natural world— from growing good food to composting, connection, and community. They are not experts- they are learning by doing, as well as learning from people who are further on the path of “people care, Earth care and fair share." Each step of the process is open to all. This CSA operates a little differently than our regular CSA and the details can be found below:

Roots & Wings CSA will be 18 weeks long beginning June 24 and ending on October 21.

Pickups will be on Sundays at 343 Broadway in Dobbs Ferry, NY- In the parking lot behind South Church from 8:30 am to 10:00 am.

There will be NO pre packaged boxes- This will be a market-style setup where you can load the fresh produce from the harvest crate right into your reusable bag- REDUCE, REUSE and SAVE. A step towards a more sustainable future.

What you can expect in your CSA Share: 100% Organic, farm grown fruits, veggies and herbs on a weekly basis. We will have blueberries, strawberries, apples, cantaloupe, yellow, red and orange watermelon, tropical melon, korean melon and ground cherries for fruit. And we grow over 100 different varieties of vegetables and herbs (scroll to the bottom of the page for the detailed list, We grow tons of salad greens including baby arugula, spinach, lettuce mix, spicy salad mix, pea shoots and microgreens. Purple and green broccoli and broccolini. All colors of carrots (Purple, yellow, orange, red, white). Every color tomato and pepper from purple to white and of course red. TONS of basil, cilantro, rosemary and other fresh herbs. English, Persian and Kirby Cucumbers. Peas, Cabbage, Kale, Corn, Swiss Chard, Radish, Turnip…. On April 16, 2023- between 10:30am-11:30am come meet us at 343 Broadway in Dobbs Ferry, NY- In the parking lot behind South Church.
There will be parking behind the church on Oak St.
Farmer Scott will be there with some samples from the farm to taste and take home- And to discuss the CSA and answer any questions you may have.

The Two Options we will be offering are

REGULAR SHARE: $500
Approximately $30 worth of fresh produce, including fruits, vegetables and herbs.
Example of Week 4 Regular Share: Blueberries, Romaine Lettuce, 1 lb Rainbow Carrots, 3 persian cucumbers, 1 bunch Italian Basil, 2 bulbs garlic, Baby Arugula

LARGE SHARE $700
Approximately $45-$50 worth of fresh produce, including fruits, vegetables and herbs.
Example of Week 4 Large Share: 1 Blueberries, 1 pint Strawberries, Romaine Lettuce, 2 lb Rainbow Carrots, 5 persian cucumbers, 1 bunch Italian Basil,
4 bulbs garlic, Baby Arugula, Bok Choy, Beets
